Hi, I’M KEERTI.
While I was born in Scotland, I grew up in Mauritius before moving back to the UK at the age of 18.
I very much consider myself a citizen of the world at this point, complete with an arsenal of over 4 languages and clients across the world!
I grew up living and breathing sciences in Mauritius, surrounded by Physics books and medical surgical guidebooks, courtesy of my mother, a Physics teacher and my father, an ENT surgeon.

I took this passion further by completing my undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
This was followed by Masters degrees in Child Studies and various aspects of Psychology, Education and Neuroscience at the universities of Nottingham, King’s College London and UCL in collaboration with Birkbeck.
2007 - fresh faced and Matriculating as an incoming first year student in New Hall, University of Cambridge
2010 - graduating with my Natural Sciences degree and a big smile!
2016 - graduating with my Masters degree in International Child Studies from King’s College London while also completing the Teach First programme!
While travelling and volunteering as a teacher, I found my calling in education and decided to qualify as a Science teacher through the prestigious Teach First programme, obtaining my QTS, my PGCE and a large amount of respect for the role structure can play in educational success.
My passion, however, lies more specifically in neurosciences and mental health in the context of education.
The brain and its potential fascinates me, both as a scientist and a teacher. I have accordingly carried out research on working memory and SEND as well as various CPD courses, all targeted towards providing a tailored and successful approach to my clients.
My goal in life is therefore to communicate my love for sciences to the children and adolescents I get to teach. My core belief is simple: everyone deserves to learn, no matter what’s happening in life. Science is fun! It’s just a matter of finding the right approach!
As an active member of the TTA and with years of experience providing CPD to other online tutors while making sure I stay up to date with the latest in Science education, my responsibilities as a tutor and coach are something I take incredibly seriously.
I know first hand the difference a dedicated and understanding tutor can make, and I am on a tireless quest to find new ways of learning when your brain ‘isn’t quite working’. I have accordingly developed a range of well-tested methods to make learning approachable and dare I say, enjoyable, not however, at the expense of great grades!
My Approach
Learning is a constant process.
This is something I bear in mind as I offer a highly personalised, premium tutoring experience designed for families who expect exceptional results and discretion.
I understand that every student encounters different stumbling blocks: the breadth of GCSE Science means that while Biology may feel intuitive, Physics can be more challenging; organic chemistry might be simple to memorise, yet physical chemistry can seem impossible to unravel.
Over the past decade, my strategy has proven successful with hundreds of students by identifying their individual strengths, elevating their confidence, and addressing the areas that hold them back.
The result is a holistic command of the sciences, a genuine enjoyment of the learning journey, and a refined ability to study independently. It’s a triple win!
